Here He Is..

Thank you so much everyone for your beautiful messages. What an amazing, Full-On, most rewarding and most beautiful and possibly the toughest 19 days of mine and Shane's life ...:-) We are so in love with our little man.

I have alot of ideas for future posts on organising with a newborn- especially in regards to what IS important and what is NOT important in the early days!

IS- wonderful family coming around, cleaning and bringing food, and visiting us in the hospital, buying bits and pieces for us that we needed
IS NOT important- having wondersuits etc beautifully folded

Ah so many lessons learned, so many things put into perspective and so much love has filled my heart until I feel it will explode.

Many thanks and love from the 3 of us

  1. Ah, like I say to all new mums,no one can tell you what you will do, how you will feel until that little baby is here...........then you can go..."ahhh, now I know..."....hope it is all coming along beautifully and you enjoy each and every day whatever it brings....xx congratulations to you both....xx

  2. beautiful pics Sarndra, thanks for sharing :)

  3. Gorgeous pics Sarndra and Shane, It's lovely to hear from you, take your time easing back into the world. Cyber hugs to you all.

  4. GREAT pics, the 2nd last one where he's looking off to the right made me melt! Being a mom is the most rewarding job in the world.
We welcomed a baby girl to our family this past Wednesday (3 days past her due date, she made us wait!)
Take care, and enjoy that newborn...they grow so, SO quickly!

  5. Sarndra, those photos are amazing! Thanks for sharing them. I think that the family portrait at the bottom is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Congratulations to you both.

    Cheers, Karen near Gympie.

  6. Awwwww Alexander is SOOOOOO gorgeous and you both look so in love with him!!!! I think of you daily my friend and know that you are doing a wonderful job of getting to know your precious little man.

    Lus x

  10. What a gorgeous little boy! The early days with a newborn are definately a learning curve. x x

  11. Lovely photos! Lol, folding and other stuff will still be there tomorrow and the first 6 weeks can be a blur so enjoy Alexander and you can catch up the other stuff later.

  12. oh Sarndra and Shane, he is a little beauty....I can see the love only gets better from here on. I especially love the first family photo with peanut wearing that cute little red hat, oh so cute......enjoy the bunny booties too.
Love and hugs to all three.

  13. Awwwwww you are all just so gorgeous! LOVE that red beanie!!!!!

  14. Aww, he is gorgeous! And you are looking fantastic!!!

Amazing how our priorities change, but Im sure if you were to do it all again you would fold those wondersuits neatly for the next one (if I ever get that chance Again Im sure I would ;) but yes family is so important and your new family is beautiful

  15. He's too cute for words :)
The most important thing is to have lots of cuddles. Take it from me - they grow up so quickly, you need to enjoy every moment!!

  16. He's adorable! Great pics of all of you!

  17. just gorgeous sandy xx looking forward to visiting when it suits x love u!!

  18. He is so ADORABLE and "stylin"... LOVE the Zebra hat!

  19. Aaaawww, he is adorable - I love that pic with him and Shane.

Yes, those first bits are a steep learning curve and may I say you are rocking motherhood so far - actually getting dressed and looking good and getting photos!!!!

I only managed that at 4 months :)

  20. Awwwww he is the wrinkley baby hands and the so serious frown.... he looks like a little gumnut baby in that gorgeous red hat!

With my first bub I went to bed each night at my usual prebub time....with my second bub I went to bed as soon as he was down for his first night sleep...usually made a huge difference as I was up at 12,2 and 6. Sleep is the best thing you do for yourself especially if you need a lot of sleep generally...I know that I do. The rest works itself out in it's own time and always waits for you. Take care, he is a gorgeous boy x Chrissy

  21. Oh Just look at him You and Your Man! Bliss! There is no bigger learning curve than Parenting...You will get your Groove on and enjoy all the milestones and mishaps...Both come with the territory of Baby Raising I!
    He is a Gem!

  22. Congratulations! What a cutie, my youngest has just turned 1 and your photos are bringing back memories, it is amazing how fast they grow up! What a special time for you both. julia

  23. What a beautiful family, take care of each other.linda

  24. What sweet photos!!

  25. What an adorable baby! I love his little red elf hat. ;)

  26. Congratulations!! I hope all went well. A first baby is surely a very emotional time as you all get used to each other, so remember to relax and go with the flow!! Those words are useful in birthing too, eh? I am so happy for you - what a special time. x x x

  27. Lovely pictures of you all. Alexander looks gorgeous and you look very well too, Sarndra.
Not forgetting Shane who is very much the proud dad.

  28. Oh he is so precious! The world you have just entered is the best, most amazing world. There is no job more exhausting or more rewarding than being a parent. Savor each and every minute because they grow so very quickly.

  29. Look at your gorgeous little boy ! Congratulations. Enjoy every moment because your son will remember your happy times together, not the wondersuit storage! Now following xx Ava

  30. Great to see your blog back, but most of all it's so wonderful to see your little man. What a happy little family. And you are so right.... Your priorities change when you have kids.

  31. Ahhh you are back! Yay. Congratulations to you guys :) I love the little red pointy hat in the first pic, your little man is beautiful. x

  32. Such a beautiful baby! You look fabulous, Sarndra, and Shane so loving.

    These truths come to mind:

    "For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
    I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the
    depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
    were written in your book
before one of them came to be."
    Psalm 139:13-16
