Here He Is..

Thank you so much everyone for your beautiful messages. What an amazing, Full-On, most rewarding and most beautiful and possibly the toughest 19 days of mine and Shane's life ...:-) We are so in love with our little man.

I have alot of ideas for future posts on organising with a newborn- especially in regards to what IS important and what is NOT important in the early days!

IS- wonderful family coming around, cleaning and bringing food, and visiting us in the hospital, buying bits and pieces for us that we needed
IS NOT important- having wondersuits etc beautifully folded

Ah so many lessons learned, so many things put into perspective and so much love has filled my heart until I feel it will explode.

Many thanks and love from the 3 of us

  4. GREAT pics, the 2nd last one where he's looking off to the right made me melt! Being a mom is the most rewarding job in the world.
    We welcomed a baby girl to our family this past Wednesday (3 days past her due date, she made us wait!)
    Take care, and enjoy that newborn...they grow so, SO quickly!

    The most important thing is to have lots of cuddles. Take it from me - they grow up so quickly, you need to enjoy every moment!!

  19. Aaaawww, he is adorable - I love that pic with him and Shane.

    LOVE!

    Yes, those first bits are a steep learning curve and may I say you are rocking motherhood so far - actually getting dressed and looking good and getting photos!!!!

    I only managed that at 4 months :)

  20. Awwwww he is beautiful.....love the wrinkley baby hands and the so serious frown.... he looks like a little gumnut baby in that gorgeous red hat!

    With my first bub I went to bed each night at my usual prebub time....with my second bub I went to bed as soon as he was down for his first night sleep...usually 8pm...it made a huge difference as I was up at 12,2 and 6. Sleep is the best thing you do for yourself especially if you need a lot of sleep generally...I know that I do. The rest works itself out in it's own time and always waits for you. Take care, he is a gorgeous boy x Chrissy

  26. Congratulations!! I hope all went well. A first baby is surely a very emotional time as you all get used to each other, so remember to relax and go with the flow!! Those words are useful in birthing too, eh? I am so happy for you - what a special time. x x x

  28. Oh he is so precious! The world you have just entered is the best, most amazing world. There is no job more exhausting or more rewarding than being a parent. Savor each and every minute because they grow so very quickly.

  32. Such a beautiful baby! You look fabulous, Sarndra, and Shane so loving.

    These truths come to mind:

    "For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother's womb.
    I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
    My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place.
    When I was woven together in the
    depths of the earth,
    your eyes saw my unformed body.
    All the days ordained for me
    were written in your book
    before one of them came to be."
    Psalm 139:13-16
